Before Brexit the French were strongly attached to keeping the UK within the EU; however, a post referendum poll in France by TNS Sofres reveals 'tepid' disappointment at the outcome.
The disappointment is the more intense among younger people (54% versus 24%) and unsurpisingly, a fairly large majority of National Front supporters (63%) say they are satisfied.
When we asked whether French people think Brexit is a good thing or a bad thing for Europe, more people say it'll have a negative impact (48%) than positive (24%).
The French are split in equal proportions on the idea of holding an EU referendum of their own: 45% are in favor and 44% opposed.
At the moment a 'Frexit' would only have the support of one third of the population while 45% would oppose it and 19% do not have an opinion on the subject.
